How many families, how many friends, how many co-workers do not talk with each other over Donald Trump? Not since the time of Jesus have families been so divided. There are Hollywood actors and directors that half the nation will not watch anymore. There are music acts that are silenced in millions of ears across America over Trump. Artists who attacked Trump publicly were cast aside by a considerable number of Americans.

In the Catholic Bible, Luke 12:51-53 Jesus says:

“Do you think I have come to bring peace to the Earth? No, I have come to divide people against each other! From now on families will be split apart, three in favor of me, and two against—or two in favor and three against. ‘Father will be divided against son and son against father; mother against daughter and daughter against mother; and mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.’”

If that does not describe former President Donald Trump, I don’t know what does. In that regard, Trump and Jesus are very much alike. The country is split in some major ways. The America First Movement does not follow late-night comedy shows, award ceremonies, or purchase any products from Woke corporations. The leftists, Progressives, and Democrats do not follow NASCAR, UFC, Wrestling, or listen to country music. In the era of Trump, we are just as separated as Biblical times.

I have studied Religion since my days in CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) as a child. As an adult, I studied World Religions for ten straight years and became an Ordained Christian Minister. With all of my experience and education, I still struggle with faith. I have to say, Trump turning his head and missing that bullet is divine intervention. I believe somebody, something, was on Trump’s side in that moment. I do not chalk that up to happenstance. Now believing that is the case, what does it mean?

At a minimum, it should mean that the universe is not done with Trump just yet. It could mean that Trump has more to do before he meets his maker. Now whether it is just one more thing he has to do in this lifetime or many things, Donald has been given time to finish it. Watching Trump get shot and rising bloody from the gun smoke screaming “Fight! Fight! Fight!” would shake the faith of even an atheist. Something extraordinary happened that afternoon, and blind luck is not going to cut it as an explanation. Believe what you want, something happened in Butler, Pennsylvania on that summer day.
