August 20, 2024Matthew Perry: Doctors’ Harm Has No Borders
Matthew Perry is just the latest victim of American physicians and their greed and harm. Enough is enough with these doctors. It is time for these pushers to be treated just like street dealers. Some guy slinging some weed on the streets gets his life ruined when marijuana does not harm compared to these doctors who spread death and destruction. Yet the doctor with his or her degree and license gets slapped on the wrist instead of long prison terms.
There needs to be a revolution in our collective consciousness. Even before the Fentanyl crisis, state after state was reporting in their autopsies that prescription drugs had overcome street drugs in the corpses of the dead during the opioid era. If something good is to come out of this Matthew Perry investigation, it should be that enough is enough with these so-called people of medicine. Whether it was the Anna Nicole Smith ordeal or the Michael Jackson, it is time to face the fact that too many doctors are just as slimy as your street corner crack dealer.
The facts are that these people of high intellect are allowed to push these drugs with abandon. The latest case involving Matthew Perry has just torn open the scab of a festering wound in modern-day America. This is no different than doctors in the 1800’s passing out bottles of Mrs. Winslow’s Soothing Syrup. They are simply ruining people’s lives and need to be held accountable and I don’t care how many years of school they have. A degree on the wall doesn’t give someone the right to poison people’s lives. This has been going on with doctors for a long time.
“There are many stories of celebrities receiving poor medical care, including cases of medical malpractice and negligence:
Michael Jackson: In 2009, Jackson died after his personal doctor failed to monitor him while he was given a combination of drugs, including propofol, a powerful surgical anesthetic.
Julie Andrews: In 1997, Andrews had a botched throat operation that left her with permanent vocal cord damage.
Dennis Quaid and his wife: In 2007, their newborn twins were given a dosage of heparin that was 1,000 times stronger than intended, causing them to suffer life-threatening complications.
Sharon Stone: Stone reportedly received larger breast implants without her knowledge during reconstruction surgery.
Joan Rivers: In 2014, Rivers died during an endoscopy at a New York City clinic.
Hulk Hogan: Hogan sued for malpractice involving unnecessary spine surgery.
John Ritter: Ritter’s family sued the hospital for wrongful death.
Andy Warhol: Warhol’s doctors overloaded him with fluids.
Duke University Hospital: In 2003, the hospital performed a heart and lung transplant on 17-year-old Jesica Santilian without checking the blood type of the organ donors to see if they matched. Santilian experienced severe brain damage, and her body went into shock and shut down.”
These are just some examples I could find, there are many more not included on this list. While doctors are guilty today of under-medicating common people in real pain, with real infirmities, the rich and famous are catered to with drugs for pleasure. This dichotomy is as old as medicine itself. Whether it was Rush Limbaugh getting Hydrocodone, Matthew Perry getting Ketamine, or Michael Jackson obtaining Propofol there is no shortage of doctors that will profit off these people’s addictions and bizarre drug choices. There also is no shortage of doctors who get away with drug dealing. Conrad Murray is still a doctor practicing in Trinidad and Tobago.
