Cacophony: Presidential Debates
June 30, 2024Baby Boomers: “The Virus”
July 1, 2024Debt: Bush, Obama, Trump, Biden
I am old enough to remember Bill Clinton saying those words in a State of the Union speech. Oh yes, all of the people in the chamber stood up and applauded. The place roared. It was thunderous! Big government is over! That is what Bill said. Now fast forward some years and ask yourself, what happened here? Now we have the last four American Presidents who unabashedly say in public over and over, that only the government can fix this or fix that. The government is the only entity left to help.
So, George W. Bush comes in and starts all these wars without paying for any of them. The man just kept bowing money claiming he was spreading Democracy around the world. Bush told us that God told him to do this. I ain’t kidding, go look it up. Did God tell him to borrow all the money from China? I ask because they held a lot of that debt for those wars. George W. Bush forgot about Bill Clinton’s declaration on government and went through the deserts of the Middle East just burning money. Then, Bush got hit with the Great Recession and decided we must bail out all sorts of irresponsible industries. We did not have the money for any of that, so the debt exploded more.
President B. Hussein Obama said in his first presidential press conference, that anyone who thinks government shouldn’t do anything is not someone he would listen to. He won’t even consider the theory of doing nothing. Now that is something else. That, my friends, is a long way from Bill Clinton’s declaration. Barrack goes on a never-seen-before spending bonanza for eight years and the debt was off to the races. The National Debt grew and grew and grew.
Enter Donald Trump and he resides over the biggest spending orgy in history and the most intrusive government ever in stumping on our civil rights during the pandemic. Of course, the government should throw some money towards America’s safety net. Unemployment, food stamps, and other safety net items could be addressed in the regular yearly budget. I mean Capitalists are not animals, we understand the importance of such programs. However, that’s an ocean of difference compared to Trump using the pandemic to drop a nuclear money bomb smackdown in the middle of the National Debt.
Joe Biden comes in and keeps the gravy train rolling because, after all, he won’t be around to pay any of this back. Joe goes on a Progressive spending bacchanalia. To put us in trillions of dollars in more debt is generational theft. Using the springboard of the pandemic to borrow trillions more dollars on top of Trump and borrowing it from China is treasonable in my opinion. By the time we got to the Biden era, we were owned by China. Knowing that we buy more Chinese products in some bizarre schizophrenic mental merry-go-round. Only Washington could pull off such a common sense titanically voyage in utter madness.
I want a president that says “only” the people can do this. I want a president who says he’ll get government out of the way. That he’ll get taxes out of the way. That he’ll get regulation out of the way of business, so we, as a free people, can crawl our way out of this debt somehow. Instead, we have this insane theory, proven to be wrong by history, that we can spend our way out of this mess. The reason why they have to know these stimulus plans don’t work is because the economic history books of the world show it has never worked. Let me repeat that, it has never worked, never. What part about “never’ is not understood here? They know this, but, because the Democrats and the Republicans went stark raving mad with spending with the expansion of government, no more dissenting voice has credibility.
Who are the presidents to say a word about this when they started this insanity? Who on Earth is gonna tell the people that the sky is falling? Chicken Little will be served up with buffalo sauce and a side of celery and blue cheese if they are honest with the people. We unleashed a lion here. We unleashed a sleeping giant. The giant is a spending bonanza where the sky is now the limit. This is just the beginning. It is one thing to self-proclaim that we have lost our way. It’s another thing to acknowledge that the rippling effect of this depravity will lead us down to the complete and utter demolition of a free society.
In the last few decades or so, the government has just borrowed trillions of dollars for God knows what, and they haven’t even gotten to their regular yearly budget yet to balance it. How many people understand that all this debt is not the budget? All this debt is outside the budget and the regular costs of running the United States of America. Who, pray tell, is going to stop the politicians? People don’t even want to hear the term “monetary responsibility” after these last years. All of this is governmental gravy poured over the main course of bankruptcy that hasn’t even come yet. They got the gravy before the meal. Everybody loves gravy. Go ahead, lick the bowl, after all, it was made in China.
