December 13, 2024FBI Background Checks For Kash Patel Tasked To Clean Up The FBI
Am I the only one who sees something wrong with the FBI being in charge of a background check for the very person tasked to clean up the crooked agency? There is something very wrong with that picture. Kash Patel has been asked by President Trump to go into the FBI and clean it up. The last thing the FBI wants is to have Kash or anyone else come in there and see all of the shady shit they have been up to. I have no love for the FBI, I wrote a book about this disreputable and sneaky nemesis of the American people and freedom.
The entire agency has been shady from the very beginning. The FBI’s meddling in countless American elections has gone too far and Kash is tasked to put an end to it. So, U.S. Senators are supposed to believe in the validity of a background check on Kash or any other Trump appointee that the FBI considers threatening to their chicanery.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), founded in 1908, has played a central role in American law enforcement and intelligence gathering for over a century. However, its history is marred by significant controversies, scandals, and abuses of power. Here is an overview of some major scandals involving the FBI, but not all:
- Early Years and the Palmer Raids (1919–1920)
During the Red Scare following World War I, the FBI, under the direction of J. Edgar Hoover (then a young bureaucrat), conducted the infamous Palmer Raids. These raids targeted suspected anarchists, communists, and radicals, resulting in mass arrests and deportations. Many of those targeted were arrested without warrants or sufficient evidence, sparking widespread criticism of the Bureau’s disregard for civil liberties.
- J. Edgar Hoover’s Reign (1924–1972)
Hoover, who served as the FBI’s first director, was a polarizing figure. Several scandals marked his tenure:
Surveillance of Civil Rights Leaders: The FBI engaged in aggressive surveillance of civil rights leaders, notably Martin Luther King Jr. Hoover approved covert operations, including wiretaps, smear campaigns, and attempts to blackmail King into abandoning his activism.
COINTELPRO (1956–1971): The FBI’s Counterintelligence Program targeted a wide range of political groups, from communists to Black liberation movements. COINTELPRO used illegal methods such as infiltration, disinformation, and incitement to disrupt organizations like the Black Panther Party, Students for a Democratic Society, and others.
- Watergate Scandal (1972–1974)
During the Watergate investigation, the FBI faced scrutiny for handling evidence and connections to the Nixon administration. While some agents sought to expose the truth, the Bureau’s higher-ups were implicated in attempts to obstruct justice, including destroying evidence. This period highlighted the FBI’s susceptibility to political manipulation.
- Ruby Ridge (1992)
The standoff at Ruby Ridge in Idaho became a symbol of government overreach. The FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team was criticized for its use of excessive force, resulting in the deaths of Randy Weaver’s wife and son. Public outrage led to investigations into the FBI’s rules of engagement and accountability.
- Waco Siege (1993)
The FBI played a leading role in the siege of the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas. The 51-day standoff ended in a disastrous raid, with 76 members of the religious sect dying in a fire. Critics accused the FBI of mishandling negotiations and escalating violence.
- Post-9/11 Intelligence Failures
In the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, the FBI was criticized for its failure to act on intelligence warnings about the hijackers. The Bureau faced additional scrutiny for abuses under the USA PATRIOT Act, including widespread surveillance of American citizens without proper oversight.
- Russia Investigation and FISA Abuses (2016–2020)
The FBI’s handling of the investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election revealed significant procedural failures. The Department of Justice’s Inspector General found that the FBI misled the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court to obtain warrants, particularly in its surveillance of Trump campaign associate Carter Page.
- Hunter Biden Laptop Controversy (2020–2024)
The FBI faced criticism for its role in the Hunter Biden laptop controversy. Allegations surfaced that the agency delayed and suppressed investigations into the contents of the laptop, potentially impacting the 2020 presidential election. Whistleblowers accused the Bureau of political bias.
You can keep going with this list but that would turn into a book. The FBI’s history is tarnished by repeated overreach and abuses of power. These scandals underscore the need for vigilance, oversight, and accountability in federal agencies to ensure they operate within the bounds of the Constitution. Many feel the agency is beyond salvageable and needs to be disbanded. Kash Patel is not going to be there to dissolve it, but rather try to put it on a righteous track. Regardless of Kash’s intentions having the FBI do background checks on all the governmental disruptors Trump has chosen seems to be absurd on its face.
