For people who like the way the economy is going, voting for the left may seem risky. It would be one thing if the Democrats would work with the Republicans as Bill Clinton did, but the left seems to be too obsessed with their hatred for President Trump. I would imagine there are people in the Democrat Party that want to get things done and wants the two sides to work together. However, that does not seem to be on the table this election.
If you think there has been chaos in our political system, what would it look like with the left having subpoena power or impeachment power? Instead of the two sides addressing the problems this nation faces, we would have non-stop investigations on everything under the sun trying to take this president down. There has to be a bunch of people on the left that would wait until 2020 to come to the ballot box, they probably know their side would just turn everything into a circus and maybe they like the way things are going for the most part.
Regardless of what you think of the current president and his style, you can’t deny he is a transformative president. The man is a disruptor and you might not like some of his disruptions, but the guy is moving things forward and getting things done. If I thought for a second, that the left would work with this president, I would pull for the Dems to take over all of Congress. I like divided government and checks and balances.
But that is not the kind of Democrats we are dealing with this election cycle. These are not people looking to work with the other side to get things done. This crowd, this time around, the Democrats, are just insane with hatred and cannot see the forest for the trees. They just want to go in there with a political chainsaw. I’m not interested in any of that at the moment, I just want to see things get done. 2018 is not the year to vote for the left, even if you wanted, they are way too off the rails at the moment. It would be counterproductive to vote for the Democrats this time around. It would be a vote for gridlock, plain and simple.
