What does it take to ban these cars from the roads? How many more people have to die? How many more horrific 911 calls do we need to listen to on the news, before The Department Of Transportation does something here?

Clearly we have a product that is killing people and where is the government to step in and protect the people? This is actually a place where government should be involved. I have to also ask myself, what is wrong with these brain dead people that own these cars and keep driving them.

We are not talking about some minor defect here. How many of these people are putting their kids in the car with them? That fact that the recall fix didn’t work has to be the first time we have seen that. So for me, I’d never buy a GM car because of the bail out and now I’ll never buy a Toyota because of this madness.

As a consumer, all I can do is protest by what I do not purchase. However The Department of Transportation is asleep at the helm and just being silent on this issue of a rolling death trap.

How dysfunctional is government when they want to do things they have no business doing and doing nothing about what they should be doing. America in the first part of this century has just a mess. The lack of outrage over the Toyota problem is inscrutable.

I guess it is going to take one of these cars plowing into a van full of Nuns before certain people react to this vexation, but hey at least they get good gas mileage.
