Nancy Pelosi’s now famous statement that she was going to drain the swamp and make this the most ethical congress ever, has entered into the cartoon graveyard for all times. History will show her reign as Speaker of The House as one of the most corrupt periods ever.

This weekend she was asked by Elizabeth Vargas on “This Week” to speak out about Charlie Rangel and his behavior in the swamp. Nancy stayed mute deflecting the question by claiming it is not her place to say. Charlie Rangel seems to be neck deep in the so called swamp with terrible looking trouble headed his way.

Of course thinking people can’t help but notice what a firestorm this would be if it were a Republican in this trouble. I knew she wasn’t going to drain any swamp when a congressman was found to have $90,000 dollars in his freezer at home wrapped in foil and she then gave him a job with Homeland Security.

The Nancy /Reid/Obama era in government will not be forgotten by future historians when they look back at all the corruption and incompetence. Not only was the swamp not drained, but I’m afraid the water level rose and the hopes and dreams of working people drowned. The swamp became a watery graveyard for the middle class, whose aspirations rippled away in the distance.
