I understand the frustration of the writer, but the far easier solution would be to treat the office of the President of the United States as what it is, the executive branch, and hire (elect) candidates accordingly. Requirements should be strong leadership skills, abundant executive experience, strength of character and a proven track record.
The current administration has none of these traits, and it shows… HopeyPuffs will only get one to the point of being elected (thanks for nothing to the so-called, 4th column, the press). Competent governing and adherence to the Constitution, is obviously beyond Obama.

It didn’t take long for someone to pull the race card !! While I don’t necessarily agree whole-heartedly with Rich’s suggestion (although it does have merits), this has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT WE HAVE A BLACK (actually half-black) PRESIDENT !
The reality is that skin color has no relevance to the fact that he was elected despite his lack of experience, and his horrendous policies are taking this country down a backwards road that will in the end spell the end of prosperity for this great country. I think GOD understands what is in the best interests of the people of this country

When I heard the First Lady had 22 assistants and that we are paying for that abuse with our taxes I went nuts. This is a good idea. Senators don’t cost us nearly as much as the office of the presidency. In a perfect world , I could see this idea taking hold.

Now this is cutting age thought. Drop the super majority for the Senate and I can go along with this. Let the Senate rule with 51 votes on everything is this could work. Think about the money it would save us, if we fazed out the office of the presidency. I like this idea.
