The President announced last week that he has put a contest together for all the states to compete with their public schools. The prize to be split up is four billion dollars with a capital “B.” Four billion dollars in a time of economic penuriousness.

The desire to do something about the condition of American education should be applauded. However throwing more money at this problem will not change a thing. How on Earth when we are broke, can we start a four billion dollar contest for anyone or anything?

This President and this political party in charge are like children with mommy and daddy’s credit card. They look at the United States Treasury as some unlimited source of money to do whatever they want. They do not have the slightest concern for this debt they are blanketing us with and care nothing about the road of bankruptcy this nation has been put on.

I hope Americans realize we can never ever put the Democrat Party in charge of our economy ever again. They have proven to yet another generation, that these people should never be handed the nation’s checkbook. People should shed their ideology, put down their social issues and back “anyone” who will care about jobs and this economy.  Forget about republican vs. democrat. Turn away from liberal vs. conservative. None of these concerns amounts to a hill of beans, if this country goes bankrupt or the US dollar collapses.

We have no money. Every year we are spending twice what we take in and on top of that we keep borrowing money from the rest of the world. We are in leadership deficit and there doesn’t seem to be anyone out there that will speak for us. This government does not care about us or even listen to us.

What more proof do you need? When you seen them give out the swine flu vaccine to Wall Street instead of the hospitals, did a light bulb appear above your head? Did you hear any bells ring? No, I’m not talking about the bell at the stock exchange. Wake up. Apparently you are not aware you have been robbed. The alarm sirens are blaring all around you. Put down your TV guide, there is an intruder in your home.
