I knew it wouldn’t take long and it was just a matter of time. I also expected trouble to arise sooner, but ACORN again has itself in hot water. If the latest developments emanating from the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now don’t warrant a full-blown investigation, then nothing will, and that is very disturbing. I hope that I am not the only one crying foul here.

Recently, members of ACORN, in at least three different cities, were caught on surveillance footage advising illegal activities to undercover journalists. Activities like how to run a prostitution ring, specific ways to commit fraud by not reporting profits honestly to banks and Internal Revenue from this hooker stable; thereby, lying to these agencies. That is not all either. These representatives of ACORN revealed numerous schemes of illegal acts. Is this how an organization of the community helps those that reside in it? To commit crime?

acorn2I remember the type of individuals ACORN recruited to assist in voter registration before last year’s election. The homeless, drug users, alcoholics and otherwise, the dregs of society. Going around registering people to vote, some of the lollipops working for ACORN, apparently fulfilling quotas, registered dead people, people already registered and foreigners not even residing in America. This done by an organization that took government money. Not anymore. Congress voted to no longer give ACORN any more taxpayer funds.

Come to find out that this latest revelation of how ACORN operates caused a foundation to investigate; financially, just who and where contributions to ACORN originate. The National Right To Work foundation found out that this gray area organization receives money from unions. The NRW also uncovered that these forced union-due funds were coming from high profiled unions. Contributions, ironically, went to the very same offices of ACORN, (Washington, D.C., New York, and Baltimore) where the latest videos where made. Sounds like something fishy to me.

Now, I know I am not the only one who is thinking that someone or somebody should stand up and say, “What the hell is going on here.” There should be a congressional hearing to appoint culpability and break this organization up once and for all. How could anyone think, from seeing how Acorn operated before the election, that this nationwide group can operate sensibly? The latest news doesn’t surprise me at all and I could have been more publicly perceptive in revealing something like this happening again, but I kept it to myself. It shouldn’t surprise anyone and nothing less than total disbandment of ACORN should be tolerated. Our squirrels of a government better take this nut and store it away for good. ACORN is one bad nut.
