Have you been watching, reading, or hearing about the town hall meetings occurring all over the nation? Do you notice a central theme? America is fed up with trying to be told what we want. Mainly over the health care issue, but I think there is more there than what lies on the surface. As our president’s approval rating is dropping like a thermometer in the artic circle, people are upset at not only what hasn’t been done, but what he is trying to do. This administration does not realize that the only people who know what is good for them are Americans themselves. At these town hall meetings, people are venting their frustrated at the apathy being shown by democrats concerning this hardly read health care bill.

Americans, who themselves have taken the time to read the issues, which are numerous and confusing, have voiced out-right opposition to what they have been able to comprehend. What is scary is that our president, B. Hussein Obama, has the support in both the house and the senate to pass this nightmare of a bill. I would rather see Hillary’s health care package from the nineties, which I hated also, be passed before Obama’s. I am not alone here. A wide range of individuals has expressed concern. Not just the old and malcontent either as claimed by a certain New York Post columnist. The young and old alike are voicing their overall displeasure. Men and women, black and white, working and non-working.

dissent2Everyone attending the town halls is mad. Some democrats who are conducting some of these have called some attendees as rude and boisterous. When in all reality these fed up constituents are being given the run around. Hard working people who are worried for their futures have a right to get straight answers. Most of the answers have been vague, misleading and evasive. At Senator Arlen Specter’s town hall, many of his answers were, “I will not vote for a bill that supports this or that,” but they know even if he doesn’t vote the bill will still pass anyway. Nope, these people want the answers that this administration cannot give at the moment. Unless they had a teleprompter.

It is going to come down to slow anarchy at first. You’ll see a few who are thrown out, taken away or otherwise completely removed from future meetings. If you notice that some of the signs reading words of “un-trust” at these events are hand painted by the holder. The signs that show support for the bill our printed from a machine. My point is that some thought that republican lawmakers were planting the opposition, but it is evident that the supporters are the one who have been planted. Most of the complaining individuals are there on their own accord. Fed up at the direction this country is heading. Mad at lawmakers pushing what they think is better for us. Our free market has done fine all along. Sure, there have been rough times, but we pulled through them. We will pull through this.

American’s, not even a year into this new administration, have had it with Obama. I would be willing to bet that there are a few hundred thousand voters regretting their vote by now. It is going to be a rough four years, but luckily, the way I see it, there will not be another four years of B. Hussein Obama. No way. Sorry, all of you, who thought that your time had finally come. You are going to be upset on how quickly that time is going to go bye, bye.
