If you sit down and really evaluate the scope of the overwhelming power the Democrat Party has and how they are wasting it, it is very breathtaking. They so completely control the government, but are simply getting nothing done. What the people who voted for this governmental control must being thinking is probably seriously sad.
The country is now watching another party betray the very core of who they are. We all sat back and watched the Republican Party do the exact opposite of what they said they would do. The Republicans so violently went against what their promises were. We are now seeing another party tell us one thing and do another. It is déjà vu all over again. The difference this time is that the Democrat Party has so much of a majority, there will simply be no excuses left on the planet for them.
We as Americans have to come to the recognition that our government is utterly broken. How can we ever believe any one of these parties or politicians ever again? For the Democrats to abandon a public option plan for health care is equal in stature of betrayal, to the right blowing up the budget. It is a juxtaposition of the Republicans growing government and taking it over a gadarene cliff. It is even more egregious; because they are now doing the same thing as the right wing but they are doing it right after the country had this betrayal take place. The hurt of the American people is so fresh from what happened under Bush. There wasn’t even time to catch our breath before another political party lied to us and did something completely different.
Can you believe they did not stop the wars? Can you believe they doubled down on one of those wars? Don’t you see? Nothing is real. Each party will tell whatever you want to hear and never ever do what they say. When the left finally comes to terms like the right did on what happened to them, God help us all. Think about all the people who never got involved before in politics and are watching what is going on. It won’t be long before the left realizes the Republicans can’t be blamed this time. They want you to spend time on Sarah Palin or people who are not even in government, so you won’t concentrate on what they are not doing.
The right is completely locked out of power and it is the left that is blowing it. The governing of these two parties has very little light between the sheets. The only difference is found in their friable promises. To think all we have as a choice is to bounce back and forth from one scamming political party to the other is horrible. We clearly need more choices. We need more parties to pick from that closely resemble more of who we are individually.
It is time for people to have a heart to heart with themselves. It took the right years to come to terms with what happened. I’m sure the same will happen on the left. Look for some anti-war group to wake up out of their fog and address this hypocrisy. Right now the pride of the left will just stand in the way. The more the pride blinds them, the more they will focus on Bush and Sarah or anything Republican from the past. They will have you focus on people who are not even in government anymore, people who are not in power. They will point their fingers and tell you, “Look; look at them.” They’ll give you a whole list of boogeymen: Rush Limbaugh, Tom Delay, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Sean Hannity, Newt Gingrich or any other person they can possibly think of that aren’t even in government. They want you distracted while they rob you blind and lie to you.
Anything, but to face up to the undeniable fact that the left has been screwed even worse. When the left realizes there will be no universal health care, no end to wars, nothing substantial on gay rights or anything at all people thought they were voting for, there will be hell to pay. When you look at where the stimulus money went, you will be forced to face the fact that the Democrat Party is the party for the rich.
You would think that me being from the right, that I would be happy about all this Democrat failure. Well I’m not. It only means that we will go back to my group of liars in a few years. Whoop-de-doo. My liars are no better than your liars. We are all screwed.
Both parties are complicit in destroying the middle class. They are just puppets for corporate interest; the strings are the laws that will make you dance to your ideological tune. It doesn’t matter whether it is the A or B-side to your vinyl 45 playing on your record player. It will just keep going round and round.
