Half of 2008 went by and nothing. That‘s understandable for it was time used gathering evidence. Almost nine months into 2009 and still nothing, but that is ok. This was time spent analyzing the evidence-forming conclusions and securing witnesses to bolster the claims. However, ten months from now we shall finally have a start to the great wheels of justice. Casey Anthony’s murder trial is scheduled to begin in June 2010. Not a year too soon if you ask me. A long time coming for those following the case and wishing for a certain amount of culpability to be administered.

June is a good month. One of the most popular for weddings. There is something to being a June bride, but Casey will not look forward to this category. Unless getting married to her jail cell qualifies. She is already married to jail junk food. Her appearance in court this week was another eyebrow raiser. Casey, entering the courtroom in gray slacks, looked very different this time. Instead of appearing happy and full of apathy, smiling as if she hadn’t a worry in the world, this time she was frowning somewhat. Looking scared for the first time, she actually cried a few times. Seemingly coming to grips, for the first time, with the reality of her situation.

2casey0809The crying and pouting she displayed finally, wasn’t the actions that gave rise to gasping. The jaw drop occurred when the door opened and she wobbled in. Wobbled? Yes, wobbled. Casey has been busy munching away her time and has really ballooned. Right where a woman hates to have a gain in weight. Her hips. Bearing the shape of a pair, Casey shuffled over to her chair, a chair she could barely fit it, and wore the look of sudden impending doom. Gone were the smirks of mock. Finally, the gravity of her situation was placing a weight on her shoulders, and hips.

The shape shifting in demeanor and form were a surprise to some. To her supporters, Casey’s smiling and arrogance, in court, gave way to suppositions of innocence. Her attractiveness had people entertaining notions containing themes that insisted innocence simply because she was too pretty to commit such an act. This time, Casey didn’t act at all carefree, nor did she display the perceived, ‘hot bod’ some foolishly thought she had. Both had fallen by the wayside.

She knows her fate does not look good and the worry is causing her to eat more. She is getting fat on sandwiches of the inevitable. Gorging on her acceptance in what lies ahead, Casey is going through a metamorphose right before our eyes. Her parents, George and Cindy Anthony have seen this change also. When Casey was led into court there was no acknowledgement to her parents. Right before the hearing concluded, Cindy made a scene trying to get Casey’s attention. Jumping up and down and waving, but Casey never looked. Before, Casey would wave and smile at George and Cindy, but not this time. This was a shunning by Casey. An obvious display of contempt toward her parents, who she believes, should be doing more to support her. Talk to the hand, Cindy and George.

As we near the last quarter of 2009 and 2010 creeps closer, lady justice will pack her bags. Readying herself for a swift administering not once but twice. Not only does Casey’s murder trial begin in June of next year, but her check fraud trial is slated to start in November of 2010 as well. Casey will be opening the wine bottle of justice and from what the harvested evidence displays, next year’s offering of justice wine will be a good one. Yes, 2010 should be a good year indeed.
