This whole style of pushing through bills without reading them or taking the time to get it right has to stop now. These politicians in Washington DC have almost completely destroyed America as we know it. The money they are spending and the absolute disregard for the growth of government is beyond pernicious. It is national suicide.

Cramming down our throats one bill after the other without having a punctilious debate to try to get it right is utterly irresponsible. It is breathtaking to watch one politician after the other not even read these bills. What do they think they are doing up there in Washington? Who on Earth are they working for? We must stop this.

Health care reform is not something we need to approach like we are driving through a fast food restaurant demanding that we have to have it this instant. The future health of this nation is not something that comes in a meal deal for Heaven’s sake. If we are going to tackle something this big, we don’t need to rush it just so the President can have it pass by this fall.

ffh2Clearly what the President is doing is self-absorbed. People are waking up to the fact that his words do not meet his actions. He is running out of time because people are coming out of the spell he had them under. His polls are heading south and he feels like he is running out of time to get his big government dreams in place. Remember, these are the people who looked at our financial crisis and said it was some opportunity they shouldn’t waste. His disgusting sidekick Rahm Emanuel actually said that. Then the Democrats forget that statement and the President complains that a Republican said health care could be Obama’s Waterloo. I noticed that it’s okay for a Democrat to look at a national emergency and see it as an opportunity, but when a Republican expresses some political advantage, the Dems play the crybaby routine.

Instead of working feverishly on reducing the debt before it destroyed us all, this crowd took the crisis and went nuts trying to spend unthinkable amounts of money on pork projects. Now they have their sights on health care.

I don’t have the answers about health care and this unsustainable path it is on but I know rushing this through is mindless. I lean towards a one-payer system and reject all the arguments on why it don’t or won’t work. All these statements that health care would be rationed ignores the reality that it is happening already. These insurance companies have robbed us for years refusing to pay for one procedure after another. Is it only called rationing when the government does it? Since Obama is not a supporter of a one-payer system, I won’t get what I want here. However, what we do in America about this issue is not something I want done fast and blindly.

We are lacking serious-minded people here and this lack of leadership is crushing our future. We don’t need to super-size our meal deal. We need to sit down and take the time to digest all of this. This government is giving me heartburn and true leadership is the antacid that is needed.
