How about that title for you? I think it is time for a little reality check with all this Bernie Madoff finger pointing. The evils that this man manifested though his Ponzi scheme was no doubt widespread and everlasting. However, it must be said that not everyone who lost money with Bernie Madoff was some angel or victim.

The people that lost money, who through very little or no fault of their own, can in a different way claim the victim mantra and have my sympathies. The rest of you greedy scamps can take a hike. It is you! You! Those greedy bastards that made it even possible for a scheme like this to be maintained for that many years! Greed fueled this thing. Your greed, Mr. So-Called Victim, set this pyramid scheme in motion and made this thing turn into a firestorm.

You were the ones getting back bigger returns than anyone else in the country. No one was getting from anywhere around Wall Street or anywhere else, those kind of returns. Don’t you remember? You would show up to all those cocktail parties telling everyone you were the smart one. You had your money with Bernie. You acted like everyone else was just ignorant and you had the smarts. “The inside track with your Bennie Madoff.”

Yeah, don’t you remember? You kept getting greedier and greedier putting more and more of everything you own into it. You put all your eggs in one greedy little basket and after throwing everything you own into it, you then start borrowing money to invest to get more and more. Yeah, you greedy little tool, you’re the one I’m talking about! Are you calling yourself the victim? Give me a break.

We were working for our bread, while you tried to make a quick buck and now it all went wrong. You poor souls. Please! I’ll tell you this much. If I catch any one of you greed-stricken, spoony malcontents disrespecting the true victims here by claiming you’re one of them, I’ll pull you out on Front Street quicker than a New York Minute.

The real victims of all this would have never have had there retirements wrapped up in this fraud if it weren’t for the greedy ones spreading this sickness. You stand there on the courthouse steps saying Bernie is going to Hell. Well my dear hypocrite that down elevator is big enough for all of you!
