In the ever evolving case of Casey Anthony vs. The state of Florida, in where Casey is charged with the murder of own daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony, the prosecutors are now seeking to make Casey pay the ultimate price: Death. Caylee Marie, an almost three year old little girl, was betrayed by the one that mattered most to her. Casey Anthony.
July 15, 2008 Casey Anthony had a perfect opportunity to not let it get this far. Her mother, Cindy, just found her on this day after a purposeful 31 days had elapsed since Caylee and Casey were last seen together. Cindy inquired of Caylee’s whereabouts to which Casey indicated she was missing. Insert the first of three 911 calls that lit the fuse of the Anthony volcano. Casey could have said the truth then, but decided to think of herself instead. Another betrayal to Caylee. Orange County Police Department investigators were lead to believe that little Caylee was kidnapped and alive. This was a deliberate lie by Casey to stall as long as possible, the finding of Caylee. Ensuring the cause of death to be in question and making it difficult to point directly back to the killer. Maybe.
With the announcement of the Death penalty being sought by the prosecutors, this could only mean one thing. The state of Florida has, in their possession, evidence which at this time satisfies requirements needed to officially use death as a punishment. Aggravating factors are now outweighing the mitigating circumstances involved. This is not a bluff. Johnny Law has the goods on Casey and the D. A. is certainly following correct procedure. The Grand Jury indicted Casey before the remains of Caylee had been found. Conditions could not be met at the time to ask for death. A few weeks later someone did find her remains. A mountain of evidence at the dump site and the results of forensic testing may have sealed the fate of this Florida mom who failed her precious young daughter.
This Florida mom, who stole from her family, friends, and strangers. Who lied to everyone she met, including local police and Federal investigators. She led to the countless hours of volunteers searching for her daughter to be wasted. Casey’s parents even helped in providing false leads. I suspect that the parents of Casey, George and Cindy, knew from the month of November, that their little grandchild was no longer alive. Hired Anthony family private investigators were at the remains site in November. Poking around garbage bags with the knowledge of a dead Caylee. Interesting that Caylee was found inside a garbage bag, four weeks later, at that same site, just a little further away from where they were. Overkill comes to the mind when going over all the evidence, documented and released to the public.
How much circumstantial evidence does there need to be for the DA’s office to convince twelve people that Casey did commit this crime? With Scott Peterson all it took was one piece of a circumstantial hair and what do you know…death. Lets go over this. Casey’s evidence. Boxes and boxes. Scott’s evidence. One zip-lock baggie. I rest my case.
