The mainstream press had a collective orgasm when some agency or group claims that religion and God for the first time are on a decline in America. The network anchors with glee reported this all day with abandon. More people are turning away from God or shaping God into some personalized entity like a personal pan pizza.

Well, I guess that must be true. I mean the network news said so. Some agency or group says so. It has to be true. It’s amazing what people want to believe. Don’t you ever wonder where they come up with these numbers on things? Very often I sit and shake my head when I hear some numbers report on this or that. I’d sit there and say “How the hell do they know that?” It’s like the homeless numbers they put out all the time. They act like they have crawled under every bridge in America counting everyone. It’s ridiculous and insane to listen to these kinds of reports.

People should understand that for the most part when they come up with numbers reports, they have an agenda of some sort. Even the press has an agenda when they pick and choose what numbers report that they use in the mainstream. These people can’t even tell you how many people are in my Church, let alone all of them. It’s a numbers game, as they say, but this one is a numbers game with an agenda. I’d like to see a numbers report like this right after 9/11.
