Another terrible occurrence in Florida. Another child has gone missing under unusual circumstances. Haleigh Cummings, 5 years old, was put to bed by the father’s girlfriend, Misty Croslin, at 8pm on Monday night and last checked on the child at 10pm. The girlfriend, who is 17 years old, stated that she was sleeping in the same room as the child, but when she awoke to go to the bathroom at approximately 3AM, she noticed the kitchen light on and the backdoor wide open. The father and girlfriend claim the backdoor stays locked and that the lock is too hard to open for a child.

Haleigh’s father, Ronald Cummings who has custody of Haleigh, was at work when his daughter went missing. When he arrived home at approximately 3AM, he found his girlfriend at the front door who immediately told him that Haleigh was missing. They placed a 911 call and the search began.

Haleigh is 3 feet tall, weighs 39 pounds and has blonde hair and brown eyes and was wearing a pink shirt and underwear. She was last seen near Hermit’s Cove in Satsuma, Putnam County. There are 44 convicted sexual predators and offenders that live in the general area and all of their homes as well as other neighbors homes are being searched.

Both the father and girlfriend were given polygraph tests and the couple stated that they passed. This investigation is now being treated as an abduction. The mother of Haleigh, Crystal Sheffield, 23, says she is desperate to find her daughter.
